The boots are just like the picture which is a big relief when ordering online. The color of these boots are beautiful and look more than they are worth and the gold buckles and zipper is the cherry on top. These may not fit well for people with big calves, it was a close fit for me as I have semi big calves. Maybe without jeans they'd fit easier but they look so stylish with jeans. It has padding inside around the leg so it'll certainly keep you warm in the winter. At first they were tight like most shoes and can rub the pinky toe raw without socks but if you use a shoe stretcher or just wear them they will break in nicely. I recommend using thick socks until then.

There is no padding for the feet and no arch support which is kinda bad but adding in your own arch support would make these the best boots. There is some wiggle room for toes but try ordering a size or half up if you have wide feet might be best.

I would definitely recommend these to anyone who asked me. They are so nice and cheap so you don't have to waste 100$+ for nice Autumn boots.

Heel is very comfy, I normally wear heels so this is obviously subjective to my experience. They are well made for the cost (man-made material seems durable), can be worn for hours. Calf size is adjustable, I found them to fit perfectly and I have average sized calves. No problem for me with odor (it was a normal odor that often comes with man-made products) and I appreciated that the packaging was minimal (very eco-friendly), in my opinion I do not need a box for my box, although the shoe box was slightly damaged there was no damage to the boots so I am A-okay with that. I have attached photos for reference. Honestly, I am tempted to buy another pair now for back up b/c I know I am going to wear the cra@p out of these:-)

Update: 10/21/16 Edited after wearing a few times: Although I still love these boots and continue to wear them regularly I found that the side zipper stitching somehow digs into my ankle:-( maybe I have fat ankles:-/ lol...it is quite uncomfortable but not enough to deter me from wearing them but just thought others should know.
